Helping Students Start the School Year Strong: School Supply Distribution in Lankouvi, Togo

Education is one of the most powerful tools for building a brighter future. As the new school year approached in Lankouvi, Togo, Holy Ground Projects worked to ensure that local students had the supplies they needed to begin the year prepared and confident.
On the morning of September 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., Holy Ground Projects organized a school supply distribution for students in the community. With the school year beginning on September 15, the goal was to support both students and their parents by easing the burden of purchasing essential learning materials.
During the event, school supplies were distributed to more than 150 students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The supplies included notebooks (100, 200, and 300 pages), erasers, pens, pencils, colored pens, geometry sets, rulers, ardoises (small writing slates), and pencil sharpeners.
The distribution was coordinated by our program manager on the ground, Sadath, who also shared encouraging words with the students. He reminded them of the importance of education and encouraged them to work hard and believe in their potential.
The response from both students and parents was incredibly positive. Many families expressed gratitude for the support, and students were excited to start the school year with the materials they needed for learning and success.
At Holy Ground Projects, we believe that even small acts of support can make a big difference in a child’s education. By providing school supplies, we hope to empower students in Lankouvi to focus on learning, growing, and building a better future.
